Initially this memorable subject belonged to hairdresser Betty Glasgow. The musician by himself has presented her his lock, having put a note of the following content: "a lot of love and hair, specially for Betty from John Lennon". Glasgow has got acquainted with The Beatles in 1964, during film A Hard Day’s Night shootings. The work above this picture proceeded more than three months, and all this time Betty watched over musicians’ haircuts.
