The Father had sons who constantly quarreled among themselves. When he was unable stop their disputes by his appeals, he has decided to give them a practical illustration of a harm of dissociation; and with this purpose once he told them to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they have made so, he has placed a bundle in hands of each of them in sequence, and has asked them to break them in pieces. They tried with all their force, and were not able to make this. Then father has opened a bundle, has taken sticks separately, one behind another, and has again distributed to their sons who could break them easily. Then he has addressed to them in such words: "My sons, if you are of
one opinion, and you are united to help each other, you will be as this bundle, not suffered of any attempts of your enemies; but if you will not be together you will be broken so easily as these sticks."
